MAGNATISEM * What is It?

She was beautiful, but not exceptional.  In fact when you first met her she was nothing special. Yet each day at work she took on a warmth that could only be described as “Magnetic”.  People listened, men stared, and she fit in everywhere.  What was it?!

SHE ADAPTED TO CHANGE
Though she hurt like everyone else when things did not work in her life, she had the gift of letting go and embracing change.  Each new environment presented her with a challenge, and each new failure brought new ambition.  It was subtle, but she “bent with the wind”.  She knew in refusing to let go of old ideas and goals, she settled for less. She knew sitting on the side of a crowded room fearful of fitting in, was an invitation to become invisible and unheard.
SHE DID NOT LISTEN TO SELF DOUBT
Everyone has to start somewhere, no matter what the obstacle, and she knew her greatest enemy was the voice of self doubt.  She knew looking into the eyes of others and believing they saw her flaws, was to dwell on her insecurities and to choose to beat herself up.
SHE WAS AWARE OF THE POWER OF POSITIVE ATTITUDE

She knew that when she erased the tape of self doubt, what came through was the voice of hope.  She transferred this message of hope into others, leaning forward when they spoke, and became more beautiful and uplifting in their eyes.  To many she became a mentor, or inspirational.  It was a magical transformation, and any one seeing her in a photo with others would never see her as exceptional.  To meet her, experience her in person, was to see the magnetic change.

SHE WAS RECEPTIVE TO COMPLIMENTS AND APPRECIATION

She understood that blessings come in the way of a smile, compliment or trust.  Because she did not denie her self worth, people handed her more responsibility and leadership.  If she could believe in herself, why shouldn’t they?  Blessings followed her, and her support group stood behind her.

WHAT IS THE LESSON IN ALL THIS?  BE MAGNETIC!

Though we may all feel trapped in less then perfect circumstances, bodies, jobs and relationships, your ability to believe you deserve the best gives you incentive to never settle for less.  How?

  • Believe you are made for success
  • Erase the voice of self doubt
  • Be receptive to the person you speak to, instead of how they perceive you
  • Appreciate the small blessings in your life and through your appreciation, others will see you as beautiful.
